BINTULU, May 26: A 28-year-old man was injured after he was involved in an accident at Jalan Coastal KM 47, Jalan Bintulu-Miri in Bintulu today.
In a statement, Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received notification of the accident at 12.54pm, prompting the despatch of firefighters from the Samalaju fire station to the location.
“Arriving at the scene of the incident, it was found that there had been a self-inflicted accident involving a Nissan Navara 4×4 vehicle.
“The operation commander performed a size-up at the location and found that a victim was in the car and was not trapped.
“The operation commander instructed the firefighters to remove the victim using a scoop stretcher to a safe place. The victim suffered a minor injury on the right hand and the firefighters handed the victim over to the Ministry of Health for further action,” it said.
The operation concluded at 1.20pm, following the firefighters’ thorough assessment to ensure the safety of the situation. — DayakDaily
