MUKAH, May 1: A 27-year-old man was found dead in a forested area near Kala Dana beach, approximately 150 metres from the Kaul Mukah Festival site, on Wednesday (April 30).
In a TVS news report, Mukah District Police chief, Deputy Superintendent Muhamad Rizal Alias, stated that the authorities were alerted to the discovery at 10am.
A team of officers was dispatched to the scene to conduct further investigation.
“Initial findings revealed no signs of a struggle or foul play that could indicate a criminal element,” he said in a statement.
The body of the local man was subsequently transported to the Mukah Hospital Mortuary for further procedures.
The case is currently being investigated as an unexplained death.
Police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation. — DayakDaily
