MIRI, Nov 9: A total 27 committee members of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Bekenu branch have resigned from the party effective today.

Led by the party’s former Bekenu chairman Haw Ming Wai, all 27 have pledged support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) under the leadership of its chairman Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Haw said those leaving the party are its senior committee members, youth and women chiefs.

“We all are announcing our resignations from PSB Bekenu,” disclosed Haw.

He said the decision to exit the party (PSB) was made after several considerations.

Prior to his resignation, Haw was considered as one of PSB’s veteran party members and key figures to the party’s establishment in Bekenu.

Since 2019, PSB has retained its position as an independent party, refusing to be affiliated with any political alliance. — DayakDaily
