KUCHING, April 29: A 26-year-old woman was injured following a road accident along Kampung Skiat Baru in Bau.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the accident at 6.50am and deployed Bomba Bau to the location.
The operations commander reported that the accident involved two cars, and the victim, who was driving one car, ended up being pinned to the driver’s seat while the driver of the other car, a 43-year-old man, managed to get out of his vehicle after the crash.
After conducting a size-up, firefighters then proceed to safely remove the victim using a rescue tool.
She was later handed over to medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH), who were waiting nearby for further action. — DayakDaily
