26 telecommunication towers to be set up in Puncak Borneo by Q3 2023

KUCHING, March 10: Twenty-six telecommunication towers will be erected in Puncak Borneo with work scheduled to start soon.

Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Willie Mongin said, the contractor Optical Communication Engineering (OCE), has been tasked to start the project.


“For the Jendela (Jalinan Digital Negara) project which was announced last year, Puncak Borneo will have 26 telecommunication towers.

“Work for the project will start soon and is expected to be fully completed in the third-quarter of next year,” said Willie who is also the Puncak Borneo MP in a statement today.

He said the towers will be set up in Mambong, Tarat and Serembu, which are under the Puncak Borneo parliamentary constituency.

The towers will be set up at Borneo Happy Farm, Kg Tanjong Durian, Puak Krokong, Keranji Skunyit, Biya Parang, Kiding, Sapit, Bra’ang Bayur, Bunuk, Sitang, Kuang, Annah Rais Hot Spring, Tijirak, Annah Simuti, Danu, Giam Baru, Abang, Kambug/Maras, Plaman Panjang, SK Patung, Gayu, Bunga, Tarat Malawi, Bra’ang Belimbing, Bukit Nanas and Bisira Rayang. — DayakDaily
