25-year-old feared devoured in another croc attack

LUNDU, Aug 16:  A 25-year-old Indonesian is feared to have been devoured by a crocodile while fishing at Sungai Stoh, Rambunan.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesman said the department received a distress call at 2.40pm after Ridwan Jayadi was dragged into the river by a crocodile and disappeared.


A team of firefighters from the Lundu fire station rushed to the scene.

According to eyewitness, the victim was fishing in Sungai Stoh near his house.  The net used was somehow caught in the water.

Ridwan was said to have jumped into the river when a crocodile suddenly appeared and dragged him away.

As it was getting darker with a rain storm coming, the firefighters had to postpone the search and rescue until tomorrow. — DayakDaily
