LUNDU, Aug 16:Â A 25-year-old Indonesian is feared to have been devoured by a crocodile while fishing at Sungai Stoh, Rambunan.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesman said the department received a distress call at 2.40pm after Ridwan Jayadi was dragged into the river by a crocodile and disappeared.
A team of firefighters from the Lundu fire station rushed to the scene.
According to eyewitness, the victim was fishing in Sungai Stoh near his house. Â The net used was somehow caught in the water.
Ridwan was said to have jumped into the river when a crocodile suddenly appeared and dragged him away.
As it was getting darker with a rain storm coming, the firefighters had to postpone the search and rescue until tomorrow. — DayakDaily
