PADAWAN, Dec 1: Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the death of a 22-year-old man who was discovered dead in an apartment at Jalan Sungai Tapang early this morning.
Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi stated that police received a report at 4.40am regarding an altercation at an apartment.
This prompted a response from the Criminal Investigation Division team of the Padawan District Police Headquarters (IPD) to investigate the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team found the victim lying motionless in a room in the apartment.
“He bore severe slash wounds to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel,” he said in a statement today.
Following this, Irwan said three individuals were apprehended in connection with the case.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be remanded to assist in the ongoing investigation.
The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
