22 localities in Belaga among 27 localities placed under EMCO

KUCHING, Aug 21: A total of 22 localities in Belaga are among the 27 localities throughout Sarawak being placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) implementation by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

According to SDMC daily Covid-19 report today, the two-week EMCO implementation in three localities at Sungai Asap, involving Rh. Pait Awan, Long Dulit U. Dikan and Rh. Dang Lajang has started since Aug 17 and will end on Aug 30, 2021.

In 11 localities which are also in Sungai Asap, Belaga, namely Rh. Besi Balan, Urun 4 Palm oil plantation, Putra Mas Urun Camp, Rh. Robert Long Urun, Rh. Udau Tedong, Rh. Bisie Janea, Rh. Ating Tajai, Rh. Adih Usang, Rh. Labang Uvet and Rh. Baya Sipat, the EMCO implementation started yesterday (Aug 20) and will run until Sept 2, 2021.


The 14-day EMCO was also implemented in eight other localities in the same area, namely Uma Pawa (Tr. Eric William Sia), Uma Adeng (Tr. Asmidy Agau), Uma Badeng in Jambatan Urun (Tr. Anthony Lerang), Tabika Kemas Long Urun, Urun 1, 2 and 3 palm oil plantation, and Solar SEB workers’ quarters.

At the same time, the committee said in one locality in Bukit Mabong involving Rh. Gon Ng. Serian in Baleh, the EMCO implementation has started since Aug 18 until Sept 1, 2021.

In Kapit, the EMCO implementation in Rh. Benggau Nanga Sut has already started on Aug 19 until Sept 2, 2021 while in Rh. Umping Baleh, the two-week EMCO starts today (Aug 21) until Sept 5, 2021.

For one locality in Asajaya involving Kampung Tambirat Lot, the EMCO implementation will start tomorrow (Aug 22), and will run until Sept 4, 2021.

Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO implemented in 10 localities in Sri Aman, Bintulu, Tatau, Miri, Meradong, Kabong and Saratok today (Aug 21, 2021).

The affected localities are Rh. Gunong in Kampung Samak and Rh. Pilit in Kampung Kaong Ulu, both in Undop, Sri Aman; Fire and Rescue Department quarters and a rented room (above Six Two Street shop) in No. 14 Colombia Shop House, both at Bintulu; Rh. Ngumbang ak Ajum in Nanga Sidang and Rh. Kilut Anak Along in Sungai Selitut along Tatau-Bintulu road, both in Tatau.

Other affected areas also include a prisoner placement block in Miri Central Prison; Rh. Rentap in Sg. Rayah Bintangor, Meradong; Kampung Perpat in Kabong and Rh. Dennis in Sungai Klampai, Saratok. — DayakDaily
