Petronas and MPP host road safety awareness programme in conjunction with Aidilfitri

KUCHING, April 18: Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) through its Petronas Stations Trading Partners for Area SW02 and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) today organised a road safety awareness programme.

The programme was held at Kampung Haji Baki in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang and MPP chairman Tan Kai among those present.

Petronas Retail manager for Sabah and Sarawak Azadie Selle, said the programme was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.

“In Petronas, we do not only think of making profits, but we also engage in various CSR programmes for the sharing of benefits with the people,” he said.

According to him, Petronas continued to hold CSR programmes during the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that the company will continue with its outreach programmes.

Lo lauded the programme, saying it would help to instill road safety awareness among drivers.

He hoped that drivers would abide by traffic rules and regulations and be considerate while on the road.

Meanwhile, Tan Kai said he looked forward to similliar collaboration with MPP in the future. — DayakDaily
