KUCHING, May 26: Nineteen local men were arrested for involvement in illegal cock fighting activities in Kuching.
Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah in a statement today said the men, aged between 39 to 71-years-old, were arrested during a recent raid conducted police at a nearby forest in Lorong Kedandi.

“Among items confiscated were cash amounting to RM58,679, one unit of cockfighting spur, one live chicken, two dead chickens, and one unit of weighing scales,” he said.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 73(1)(g) of Veterinary Public Health Ordinance 1999. — DayakDaily
