KUCHING, May 19: A total of 145 recipients were conferred with State titles and awards by Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud at the Dewan Besar of Astana Negeri today.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the ceremony commenced with the conferment of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK) awards on eight recipients including Senior Assistant Commissioner of Prisons, Fathi Mursidi.
The ceremony continued with the conferment of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam and Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB) awards on 16 recipients including Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) Faculty of the Academy of Language Studies lecturer Dr Bromeley Philip and Supt Nur Asyikin Abdullah.
Meanwhile, 34 other recipients including Councilor Daniel Taha, were conferred the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) award.
Meanwhile, the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK) award was conferred on 18 recipients while the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam, Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) was awarded to 36 recipients.
The ceremony concluded with the conferment of the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS) to 33 recipients. — DayakDaily
