MUKAH, Oct 30: A teenager has been arrested for allegedly possessing 0.15g of methampethamine yesterday.
Mukah district police chief, DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the 13-year-old boy was caught during a raid conducted on an un-numbered workers’ quarters at 1pm at Jalan Selangau-Bintulu.
“A white transparent tube which contained the drug was found in his body during a body check. The drug was kept in a bag,” he said.
He added that a urine test on the boy later came back positive of another type of drug called ampethamine.
“Based on our investigation, the boy was involved in drug activity earlier this year. He had also admitted that he got the supply from a man identified as ‘Gaya’ from Selangau and became addicted after allegedly being forced by the man to consume it,” said DSP Muhamad.
The police has opened an investigation under Section 12 (2) and 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. — DayakDaily
