KANOWIT, Oct 23: Police have confirmed receiving a report regarding a 13-year-old boy who assaulted a 69-year-old man using a knife at a public toilet here on Thursday (Oct 22).
In a statement issued on Thursday, Kanowit district police chief DSP Junical Ujal said a call on the incident was received at 3.29pm.
“The victim is currently receiving treatment at Kanowit Hospital and is reported to have sustained minor injuries to his left shoulder. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
“Police are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to obtain relevant evidence,” he said.
