KUCHING, Dec 9: The General Operations Force (GOF) seized 13,400 litres of diesel worth RM28,810 at a location in Jalan Stephen Yong here yesterday and handed the seizure over to the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPNDHEP) Sarawak.
According to KPDNHEP Sarawak in a press statement today, an initial investigation found that a local man had been storing the controlled item without a permit.
The GOF also confiscated a Pajero and a bonded lorry, with total seizure valued at RM64,810.
The ministry added the case will be investigated under Section 20 (1) of the Control of Supplies Act 1961, for storing goods at unlicensed premises by the controller.
KPDNHEP said the ministry with the cooperation of various departments and enforcement agencies will continue to monitor, conduct inspections and take action against those who violated the law on controlled items. — DayakDaily
