KUCHING, May 28: Padawan police compounded a total of 12 persons for violating the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in two days.

“A total of 11 males and 1 female have been compounded in this two-day time period,” Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bol Hassan said in a press statement.

“Five compounds were given on 26 May 2020 while six compounds on the 27 May 2020 under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 2020,” Aidil added.

According to Aidil, all of the suspects were found violating the CMCO at Mile 17, Mile 18, and also MJC Batu Kawa area.

“All of them had failed to provide proper reasons and also failed to show their district traveling permits,” Aidil added.

Aidil said the police will not compromise with anyone in violation of the CMCO as responsibility and cooperation is needed for the control of Covid-19.

“If there is no responsibility in ourselves, it is quite impossible to stop the spreading of the Covid-19 virus, and MCO or CMCO will keep on going,” Aidil said.ā€”DayakDaily
