KUCHING, April 6: An 11-year-old boy was killed while five others, including a baby, were injured in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Sri Aman-Serian.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, they received a call regarding the accident at 5.32pm and deployed firefighters from the Serian fire station to the location.
The operation commander reported that the accident involved a Perodua Viva, which the victims were travelling on.
The boy was confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and handed over to the police for further action.
Three victims—a woman, a man, and a baby, were also seriously injured in the accident and were brought to Sri Aman Hospital before the arrival of firefighters.
Two other victims who suffered minor injuries were treated by Bomba Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) at the location before being transported to Sri Aman Hospital. — DayakDaily
