MIRI, March 13: Eleven local men were arrested when a team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) raided a house in Pujut Tanjong Batu here at about 1pm on Monday.

Four of them, aged between 31 and 45, were picked up inside the house for drug possession, while seven, aged between 25 and 46, were collared outside the house on suspicion of drug abuse.

The ‘Ops Sarang’ raiding team found drugs concealed in two plastic packets weighing 18.98g, said state NCID chief Supt Sahar Abdul Latif in a press statement today.

One plastic packet contained 56 straws and the other 33 straws of what is believed to be ‘syabu’ worth RM2,847 on the street.

All four suspects tested positive for drugs.
