KUCHING, Apr 17: A 40-year-old man was found burnt to death following an accident at Jalan Miri Bypass today.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 9.31am, and firefighters from the Lopeng station were deployed.
It was noted that the incident involved a lorry and a Subaru BRZ that both caught fire due to an accident. The front of the lorry was destroyed, while the Subaru BRZ was destroyed.
It was also reported that the victim, identified as Roy Hakimi Arikan @ Ariken, was trapped inside the Subaru BRZ when it was still on fire. The lorry driver, however, did not sustain any injuries.
After extricating the victim, firefighters handed over the body to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
