KUCHING, Nov 17: Sessions Court here sent a teenage factory worker to the Henry Gurney School until he reaches 21 years in age for sexually assaulting an underage female friend.
The 19-year-old accused pleaded guilty to the two charges framed before Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga.
Jason accepted the guilty plea and ordered the accused to be sent to the Henry Gurney School and to be retained until he attained the age of 21.
The accused was charged with physically and sexually assaulting the girl by squeezing her breast and insert his finger into her private part. The incident happened at Jalan Kampung Santubong, on February 24, 2020, at about 9pm.
He was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a maximum imprisonment term of twenty years and whipping, upon conviction.
