SIBU, Nov 12: A 20-year-old man was killed while his twin brother suffered serious head injuries in a road accident today.
Fire and Rescue Department Sibu zone chief Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad said the fatal collision happened at 2.48pm when the driver, 20, lost control of the van and hit a tree at Jalan Padarom.
His twin brother who was in the passenger seat, was pronounced dead by medical officers.
The driver was sent to Sibu Hospital by family members.
Eight firefighters were despatched to the scene to assist the trapped victims in the badly damaged vehicle and had to use hydraulic cutters to free the victims.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident. — DayakDaily
