“Together, we have strived to make our city better, more vibrant, and more well-known beyond our borders,” he said, highlighting the collective efforts and achievements of the past term.

With the council’s term ending soon and the possibility that not all members may be reappointed, Wee extended special thanks to those concluding their service.

“Your contributions will not be forgotten. I thank you sincerely for your service, your ideas, your passion, and for standing together during both challenges and triumphs,” he said.

He also offered a personal apology for any unintended words or actions that may have arisen during intense discussions.

“Please know that everything we said and did came from a place of dedication to our shared mission — to serve Kuching South with heart and purpose,” he added.

Wee extended his well wishes to outgoing and returning councillors, wishing them continued success in their future undertakings.

“May success, health, and happiness follow you wherever you go. May we continue to carry the spirit of Kuching South with pride,” he said. — DayakDaily
