MIRI, Feb 16: A woman who was injured in a two-car collision early yesterday morning at the Jalan Bulan Sabit traffic light intersection succumbed to her injuries that same day.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said when contacted, the woman, aged 21, died around 11pm while receiving treatment at Miri Hospital.
Yesterday, the Perodua Viva she was travelling in with a friend collided with a Proton Perdana at the said traffic intersection.
The car the young woman was in was heading towards Jalan Bulan Sabit from Jalan Sukan, while the Proton Perdana was coming from Krokop heading towards Jalan Sehati.
During the accident which occured at 1.30am, the Perodua Viva driver and two victims in the other car sustained bodily injuries.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
