SERIAN, Nov 10: A 27-year-old motorcyclist dies following head-on collision with a bus at Jalan Baki-Riih, yesterday.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the victim, Thembsone Anthony, from Kampung Riih Daso suffered severe head injuries.
“In the 5.15pm incident, the bus was moving along Jalan Baki-Riih heading toward Kuching town when the deceased motorcycle suddenly swerved into the bus from the opposite direction and rammed into the front part the bus,” he said in a statement today.
The victim was brought to the Serian Hospital by an ambulance and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Alexson said that the road condition was wet at the time of accident due as it was raining.
The case is being investigated under section Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.— DayakDaily
