In a Facebook post today, its minister, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, said that the Public Works Department (JKR) is also ready to offer technical advice and expertise to the authorities, should it be required.
The Kapit MP added that he has instructed all agencies under the Works Ministry that are involved to give their full cooperation in assisting the authorities to carry out their investigation.
“There are no words that can express the sadness and sympathy for all parties affected by this incident.
“The rakyat’s safety and well-being are top priority, and I am confident that all parties involved are committed to ensuring that a thorough investigation can be carried out transparently and thoroughly,” he said in the post, adding that the ministry will continue monitoring the investigation.
On April 1, a pipeline fire broke out at Jalan Harmoni, Putra Heights, in Subang Jaya, caused by a ruptured gas pipeline belonging to PETRONAS Gas.
The incident saw flames soaring over 30 metres high, with temperatures reaching 1,000 degrees Celsius. Firefighters took nearly eight hours to extinguish the blaze fully. — DayakDaily
