According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), in his acceptance speech, Wan Junaidi expressed gratitude and humility for the conferment, describing it as not merely a personal recognition but as an appreciation of the values of service, integrity, and lifelong learning that have guided his life journey.

He emphasised that effective leadership is not solely defined by position, but anchored in character and personal integrity, with empathy and wisdom forming the foundation of public trust.
