Works Minister undergoes total knee replacement surgery, grateful for hospital staff’s service

KUCHING, March 14: Minister of Works Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has undergone a total knee replacement surgery and received treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

In a Facebook post yesterday (March 13), he relayed his appreciation and admiration to the doctors, nurses, and staff of HKL for their professional services.

“From the first day I was admitted to HKL, I have received professional treatment and treatment from all the doctors, nurses, and HKL staff who never tire of providing their services.


“I greatly admire and appreciate the dedication and hard work given by every HKL staff to ensure that every patient here receives the best treatment.

“I say, well done. I really appreciate any help given. Indeed, I cannot repay all the good deeds that have been done,” he said.

On Feb 12, it was reported that Nanta would undergo knee surgery by April this year.

He told DayakDaily that he had a fall in 1998 which led him to undergo an operation at Normah Medical Specialist Centre.

Nanta said the injury involved damage to his knee ligament and cartilage. — DayakDaily
