KUCHING, Aug 4: Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has extended his birthday greetings to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, describing him as a leader who is respected for his calm demeanour, close connection with the people and commitment to Sarawak’s development.
In a birthday message marking Abang Johari’s 76th birthday, Nanta highlighted the Premier’s leadership qualities and said his ability to listen to the voices of the people had earned him widespread respect and appreciation across all levels of society.
“Behind the great responsibility entrusted to him as a leader, the Premier has always been recognised as a calm figure, one who remains close to the people and never tires of listening to their voices,” Nanta said in the message posted on his social media today.
He added that these values had shaped Abang Johari’s leadership, making it not only respected but also admired by the people of Sarawak.
Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, also conveyed his hopes for the Premier’s continued good health, happiness with his family, and strength to continue steering Sarawak towards a more progressive, inclusive and prosperous future.
He expressed appreciation for Abang Johari’s contributions, sacrifices and commitment in developing the State, while praying that God would continue to bless the Premier’s efforts in leading Sarawak.
Abang Johari, who became Sarawak’s sixth Premier in 2017, has led the State government’s agenda focusing on areas including digital transformation, economic development, infrastructure expansion and greater autonomy for Sarawak. — DayakDaily
