KUCHING, Aug 23: Resurfacing work on a total of 23,000 square metres of road at Chong Lin Park Commercial Centre will begin next week.
Kuching South City Hall (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the Chong Lin Park Commercial Centre project which consists of 11 blocks, of which seven of them are residential blocks while four are a mixed of commercial and residential blocks, was completed in 2001.
He explained that the re-surfacing will only start next week due to a sewerage project which was only completed last year.
He revealed the resurfacing work will take about two months plus.
When handing over the road resurfacing project to the contractor during a livestream on his Facebook page today, Wee noted that the work will create some inconvenience for residents and urged them to contact the council directly to give feedback.
He also urged the residents and business operators in the affected area to cooperate and give way for construction work. Some parking spaces will be blocked to allow the project to be carried out. — DayakDaily
