MIRI, Oct 10: A 37-year-old woman has been rushed to Miri hospital on Tuesday (Oct 9) morning after a suspected suicide attempt.
According to sources, the woman was found unconscious on the floor of her home here around 10.30am by one of her children who later rushed the woman to Miri Hospital for treatment.
It is believed that the woman drank liquid detergent mixed with coffee and liquor.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the woman might be suffering from extreme anxiety after her divorce, as she was struggling to find a job to support her children.
The case is being investigated under Section 309 of the Penal Code for suicide attempt. — DayakDaily
