Woman pinned inside her vehicle escaped with injuries

KUCHING, Dec 11: A 42-year-old woman had a narrow escape as she was pinned inside her car following a collision with another vehicle along Samarakan road in Bintulu today.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department operation center in a statement said they received the emergency call at 11.32 pm and a team of nine firefighters led operation commander PBK II KUP Pek Layang from Bintulu fire station rushed to the scene.


According to the statement, the operation commander upon arrival at the scene reported that the incident involved a sedan car which collided with a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle and that a female victim was pinned inside the car’s passenger seat.

“Firefighters using a rescue tools successfully removed the victim who was then given first aid treatment by the Ministry of Health (MOH) medical team at the location,” it said.

The victim was sent to Bintulu hospital in the MOH ambulance for further treatments. – DayakDaily.
