Woman killed in three-vehicle collision at Jalan Takan, Song

SIBU, Dec 10: A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car and another motorcycle in Song today.

The victim has been identified as Laila Antau, 24.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement today revealed its Song station received a call from the police at about 8.47am about an accident at Jalan Takan.


A Perodua Alza driven by a 37-year-old woman had collided head-on with two motorcycles which were travelling in the opposite direction.

“The commander of the operation after performing a size-up at the scene found a woman motorcyclist had died on the spot while her pillion rider was injured on his thigh,” Bomba revealed. The deceased was later taken to Song Hospital mortuary in a Mobile Police Vehicle.

Two others on the second motorcycle and the driver of the case escaped with no injuries. — DayakDaily
