Woman jumps from second floor of Kuching building

KUCHING, July 12: An 18-year-old woman was injured after she jumped from the second floor of a building at Jalan Tun Jugah this afternoon.

The police were alerted to the incident at 12.20pm and deployed a team to the scene immediately.


The woman suffered injuries to her leg. A Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance later rushed the woman to the hospital for immediate treatment.

According to Kuching District Police Chief, ACP Awang Din Awang, the woman was employed in an eating establishment and was undergoing psychiatric treatment at Sarawak General Hospital.

The incident is being investigated under Section 309 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
