KUCHING, March 24: A 43-year-old woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui here on March 23.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 10.27pm, and firefighters from the Padungan station were deployed to the location.
“Upon arrival, it was noted that the accident involved two cars—a Perodua Viva and a Proton Saga—and a female victim was trapped in the passenger seat of the Perodua Viva.
“The male driver of the car, 50, and the driver of the Proton Saga, 43, were not injured in the accident,” it said.
Firefighters then proceeded to extricate the victim, who was later handed over to paramedics from the health ministry to receive treatment at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
The operation ended at 11.13pm. — DayakDaily
