KANOWIT, Jan 12: A woman suffered an open leg wound in a bus accident involving 28 passengers on Jalan Kanowit around 2pm today.
The Kanowit Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Kanowit) responded to the incident and arrived at the scene six minutes later.
Upon arrival, rescuers found the injured woman trapped inside the bus, while the driver and other passengers had managed to exit safely.
The Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) team provided immediate medical attention to the injured woman before firefighters assisted in transporting her to safety.
She was later taken to Kanowit Hospital by ambulance.
The rescue team also conducted clean-up operations at the site before heading to the hospital to obtain further information about the victim’s condition.
The accident scene was cleared by 3.15pm, and no other injuries were reported. – DayakDaily
