KUCHING, March 18: A 35-year-old woman was injured when she crashed her car into a three-metre-deep ditch near Rumah Mawang at Jalan Marudi-Miri.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lopeng Station team led by operation commander Albert Kassim was dispatched to the scene following an emergency call at 1.45pm today.
According to a Bomba report, members of the public helped to get the victim out of the car before the rescue team arrived at the location.
The Bomba team acted to put the injured victim on a stretcher and lifted her to an ambulance, where she received medical attention while being transported to a hospital.
The operation ended at 2.55pm. — DayakDaily
