KUCHING, Aug 1: A local woman was arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for forging Covid-19 swab test results.
According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, the woman was detained under Section 22(d) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.
Meanwhile, the committee also disclosed 23 compound notices had been issued in Kuching, Bintulu and Miri for various standard operating procedure (SOP) violations.
Among the offenses which incurred compounds were failure to practise physical distancing (10), failure to scan the MySejahtera QR code before entering premises (10), not wearing facemask in public places (two), and dining-in exceeding the time limit (one). — DayakDaily
