KUCHING, March 3: The Wind Cave Nature Reserve in Bau has been temporarily closed due to flooding.
According to a notice posted by Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) on its Facebook page earlier today, the flooding was caused by an influx of water from upstream sources.
“It will be closed to facilitate cleaning operations and to ensure safety during the ongoing rainy season.
“Additionally, the plank walk area requires thorough cleaning to remove mud and to address the potential risk posed by the presence of snakes in the vicinity.
“Furthermore, to prevent any incidents involving visitors, the reserve will, from time to time, close based on weather conditions and permits,” read the notice.
