KUCHING, Nov 3: Datuk Willie Mongin is grateful to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) for nominating him as its candidate to defend Puncak Borneo (P198) in the 15th General Election (GE15).
He expressed thanks to GPS’ top leadership, especially GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for accepting him into PBB and allowing him to fly the GPS-PBB flag in Puncak Borneo.
“I am glad to be given the chance again to stand in Puncak Borneo, and this time I will stand under the ticket of GPS,” he said.
Willie left Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in 2020 and later joined Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). Earlier this year, he quit Bersatu to join PBB.
Willie, who is also caretaker deputy minister of Plantation Industries and Commidities, appealed to the Puncak Borneo voters to give him their full support.
He also urged party machineries to put aside differing views and work together to win the seat for GPS. — DayakDaily
