KUCHING, Nov 3: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) new face and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for Batang Sadong (P200) Rodiyah Sapiee is hoping for 150 per cent support from her voters.
“I hope for 150 per cent support from the voters. I will give my very best and work hard together with the three ADUNs (assemblymen) namely in Sadong Jaya, Gedong and Simunjan.”
That was the short response of the PBB newcomer who appeared nervous when she was bombarded with questions from reporters after the GPS candidates reveal at PBB headquarters here today.
Despite that, she had strong support from her seniors, flanked by former Gedong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, Sadong Jaya assemblyman Aidel Lariwoo and Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris.
Rodiyah, 44, after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), works as a civil servant in the Land Custody and Development Authority (Pelita).
Rodiyah has big shoes to fill after former Batang Sadong MP Dato Sri Nancy Shukri, who has shifted to stand in Santubong (P193) this coming election. — DayakDaily
