SIBU, July 10: Twelve shotguns and one pistol were disposed off today at the compound of police headquarters here.
Also destroyed were three bullets and an empty cartridge.
Present to witness were Magistrate Muhammad Faizal Che Saad, Sibu District Deputy Police chief Supt Collin Babat and Sibu CID chief DSP Hadian Keria.
According to Supt Collin, the weapons were seized from several criminal cases from 2005 to 2020.
“The cases involved these weapons had been cleared by the court with sentences passed. They were destroyed with the approval of the court,” he said.-DayakDaily
