KUCHING, Dec 18: Taka Cake House has come forward to clarify that it has Malaysia’s Halal Certification (SPHM) after a Facebook post doubting the bakery’s status made its rounds on social media.
“Dear valuable customers, we are Halal Certified since our first outlet located at Satok in 1986,” the bakery wrote in a Facebook post at 9.56am today.
Also included in the post is a photo of the most recent Halal certificate issued to the bakery by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
Established in 1986, Taka Cake House is one of the most popular brands in town. It has 14 outlets located all over Kuching city, Kota Samarahan, and Serian.
Before the announcement, a Facebook user shared a screenshot of a blog questioning whether Taka Cake House has Halal certification. The post was shared by 45 other Facebook users. — DayakDaily
