KUCHING, Aug 14: Several areas in Kuching will experience water supply interruptions, with residents experiencing low water pressure or no water supply starting today.
According to a notice issued by the Kuching Water Board (KWB), the affected areas include Jalan Stutong Lorong 30, Jalan Stampin Baru, and surrounding areas; Taman Kopodims and surrounding areas; and Assar Senari Industrial Complex and surrounding areas.
“The cause of the disruption in the affected area along Jalan Stutong Lorong 30, Jalan Stampin Baru, is the repair of a 150mm Ductile Iron (DI) main that dislocated at Stutong Lorong 3, Kuching.
“The repair works will begin at 10.30am on Monday (Aug 14) and are expected to end on the same day at 2pm,” it said.
Meanwhile, the cause of the disruption in the affected area at Taman Kopodims is the repair of a 300mm (12”) Ductile Iron (DI) main leak at Lorong 1F, Jalan Taman Kopodims, Jalan Akses FAC, Kuching.
The repair works will begin at 11am on Monday (Aug 14) and are expected to end at 5pm.
KWB continued, “The cause of the disruption in the affected area at Assar Senari Industrial Complex is the repair of a 150mm (6”) Ductile Iron (DI) main leak at Assar Senari Industrial Complex, Jalan Bako, Kuching.
“The repair works will begin at 11am on Monday (Aug 14) and are expected to end at 5pm.”
