KUCHING, March 14: Several areas in Kuching City, Padawan and Samarahan will encounter a temporary water supply interruption commencing from 10pm on March 15 until 6am on March 16.
In an advisory notice, Kuching Water Board (KWB) said this interruption is due to essential upgrading works at Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant No. 2.
The affected areas include Batu 9, Jalan Pending, Jalan Batu Lintang, Jalan Sekama, Jalan Bampfylde, Kenyalang Park, Jalan Foochow, Jalan BDC, Samajaya Free Industrial Zone, Samarahan areas and the JBALB Tambirat booster station.
In preparation for this occurrence, consumers are strongly advised to store an adequate supply of water to last throughout the interruption period.
Additionally, it is important to note that during the recovery phase, consumers may experience instances of low water pressure, airlocks, and temporary discoloration of water.
