KUCHING, May 15: Residents and businesses along Jalan Rantau Panjang off Jalan Batu Kawa and its surrounding areas will be experiencing low water pressure or no water supply this Friday, May 16, due to connection works involving a new main pipeline.
According to the Kuching Water Board (KWB), the water supply interruption is scheduled to begin at 9am and is expected to end by 4pm on the same day.
The disruption is caused by the new main connection of a 200mm ductile iron (DI) pipe with a clamp on tee at Jalan Rantau Panjang.
To mitigate the impact, water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas.
KWB also advises road users to exercise caution when driving in the area during the repair works and to comply with all traffic management measures in place for safety and regulatory compliance.
“We regret any inconvenience caused,” KWB said in a public notice.
