MIRI, March 20: LAKU Management Sdn Bhd has issued a water disruption notice for Taman Tunku, Sungai Dalam, and its surrounding areas from 10am to 11pm on March 21 (Thursday).
The disruption is a result of a pipe leak on the 750mm main supply pipeline at Simpang Penjara, Miri.
To address the situation, LAKU Management Sdn Bhd will deploy water tankers to the impacted areas.
The affected areas include Sungai Dalam, Soon Hup Garden, Simpang 88, Taman Tunku, Taman Jelita, Tung San Garden, Taman Da Sing, MDS Departmental Store, Valley Golf Cost, Assar Commercial Centre, Bomba Lopeng, Eastwood Industrial area, Milea Residence Phase 1, Milea Residence Phase 2, Hilltop Garden, SMK Baru Taman Tunku, SMK Riam, SK Temenggung Datuk Muip, and Polyclinic Taman Tunku.
Additionally, several other areas will experience low water pressure during this period, including Bomba Airport, Miri Airport, Kampung Riam Jaya, Jalan Sze Chuan 1, Jalan Sze Chuan 2, Jalan Sze Chuan 3, Jinhold Apartment Airport Commercial Centre, Army camp, Emart Commercial Centre, Happy Garden, Spring Riam, Da Sing Garden, Riam Middle School, Pin Fook Garden, Taman Sui Hiong, Taman Kancil, Taman Classic, Nasturium, Lembah Hijau, Kampung Lopeng, Grand Park, Tham Lim Garden, and Serena Villa.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stockpile water in preparation for the disruption.
