Deputy Premier disburses grants worth RM230k to 5 NGOs, church

KUCHING, March 20: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas has presented grants totalling RM320,000 to five non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and a church.

Uggah presented a grant of RM20,000 to the St Thomas’ Cathedral and it was received by Reverend Father Kho Meng Tong.


The five NGOs benefiting were the Sarawak Dayak Nation Union, the Persatuan Alumni Dayak Universiti Malaysia, the Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association, the Sarawak Dayak Iban Association and the Sarawak Dayak National Union, Kuching branch.

Both the Sarawak Dayak Nation Union and the Persatuan Alumni Dayak Universiti Malaysia received RM100,000 each.

Meanwhile, the Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association received a grant of RM50,000, the Sarawak Dayak Iban Association, RM30,000 and the Sarawak Dayak National Union, Kuching branch RM20,000. — DayakDaily
