KUCHING, Aug 12: Santubong MP Datuk Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar holds that every Pakatan Harapan component party is “cracking and awaiting for internal implosion”.
Wan Junaidi said this with reference to what happened firstly in PKR and Parti Primbumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
“Every of the PH component is cracking and awaiting for internal implosion. There are mass resignation from Bersatu in the Peninsula and there are rumours that the party is not even able to hold meeting for lack of quorum.
“The Malays in Malaya are avoiding Bersatu, so it seems, yet Bersatu took in the several jumping MPs from UMNO. Perhaps, people just do not enjoy the company of jumpers whose principle of struggle is seemingly personal rather than principle.
“PKR is splitting in the centre because of ‘the president and the deputy president’ rivalry. The struggle to become the next Prime Minister of Malaysia is so intense and very distracting,” said Wan Junaidi who is supreme council member of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of Gabungan Parti Sarawak, the Sarawak ruling coalition.
After PKR and Bersatu, Wan Junaidi lambasted at Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and DAP.
“I really could not imagine anyone wants to join Amanah whose party leadership is made up of splinters from PAS who at one time swore that all others are bad except them.”
“Now DAP, to me pure and simple, anyone from the GPS, who are basically Bumiputra of Sarawak, who wants to join the DAP is a betrayal of the very struggle that the GPS stands for.
“The (DAP) leadership in Sarawak is dancing to the drum and tempo of their bosses in the Peninsula. That we could understand, if not the career would also be affected.
“DAP Sarawak leaders are only the mouth-pieces of the central leadership in KL (Kuala Lumpur). They are no longer fighting for interests of Sarawak, but the interests of their leaders in the Peninsula.
“Now with ‘khat’ issue, DAP is also showing the cracking from inside.”
Wan Junaidi also pointed out despite holding the authority to rule the country, PH did not know what to do.
“They are too busy internal politicking. They are not governing the country, but more fighting for positions in the party in order to eventually hold the priced positions in the government.
“The country’s economy is plummeting, cost of living is sky-rocketing, shares in the Stock Exchange are sliding down, prices of good are going up, ringgit against dollar is sliding downward, investors are shunning the county, the country’s assets are sold and yet the debts is increasing everyday,” said Wan Junaidi.
He said there has been no necessity to demand PH leaders to fulfil their pledges in the manifesto, as PH could not even rule the nation.
“The country is not undergoing transformation but in a serious regression.”
“So Sarawakian, don’t be fooled by these people. Stay with GPS and join GPS. Together we can make Sarawak great. We have great leaders who know what is good for Sarawak,” said Wan Junaidi in a statement yesterday.
The statement was issued to rebut Sarawak PKR information chief Desmond Kho who was reported by a national online news portal to have “acknowledged rumours that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) members are considering joining the party”.
Kho was reported to have said that it was “perfectly normal” for GPS members to join PKR as PKR has been part of the ruling coalition at the federal level and in charge of various institutions. — DayakDaily
