KUCHING, July 14: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) National Women vice-chief Voon Shiak Ni has been appointed as a special officer with the federal Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
Announcing the appointment at a press conference here today, Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How said Voon’s responsibility was to ensure that all matters relating to KPKT in Sarawak are carried out accordingly to fulfil the needs of Sarawakians.
The appointment letter was dated June 30, 2018, and was signed by KPKT Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin. Voon’s appointment took effect on that day, too.
“It is an honour to be given the task and trust by the ministry. I will carry out my responsibility as entrusted. We, in the Pakatan Harapan government, will continue to work hard for the people,” pledged Voon, who was also at the press conference. — DayakDaily
