Vivacity Megamall PPVIN hopes to vaccinate 600 today and to finish 2,000 first doses in 4 days

KUCHING, June 25: The industrial Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPVIN) at Vivacity Megamall here is aiming to administer 600 vaccine doses today and to finish vaccinating all 2,000 staff members with their first doses in four days.

Vivacity Megamall Advertising and Promotions Senior Executive Evy Kiing said the team managed to vaccinate 400 individuals yesterday on its first day of operation.


“We are targetting to administer 600 doses today. Plus 400 yesterday, we’ll be able to complete 2,000 first doses in four days.

“We will only be operating for four days. Then, the second doses would be starting July 15,” she said after Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s visit to the PPVIN here today.

Guided by Vivacity executive director Sim Yaw Hang, Abang Johari went around the areas covering the fround floor and the East Atrium to witness the inoculation operation process.

Earlier the Chief Minister also visited PPVs at tHe Spring Shopping Mall and the Samalaju Industrial Park.

At Samalaju Industrial Park where a press conference was called, he commented that the immunisation operations at these places are doing well and running smoothly.

The visits were conducted with strict adherence to all Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) as mandated by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The Health Care organiser for the PPVIN is Klinik Perubatan Khaira led by Dr Khaira TS who was assisted by 20 medical staff and 60 non-medical and security volunteers all from the mall’s own management staff.
